12-year UFC veteran Neil Magny is back for the third time in 2025 to take on former Bellator Champion Yaroslav Amosov in his first bout in the UFC. Magny is coming off back-to-back finishes in 2025 against Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos and Jake Matthews. Amosov has an MMA record of 28-1 with 20 finishes in his career. This bout is taking place on the Prelims of this week’s UFC Fight Night, which begins at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Fight Not To Go The Distance (-160)
Magny has won two consecutive fights this year for the first time since March 2022. At 38 years old, Magny needs another victory if he wants to continue to work up the 170-pound rankings. The last time Magny had a three-fight winning streak was in 2020. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Amosov is a -440 favorite with Magny being a +340 underdog. The over/under is set at 2.5 rounds with the under being -125.
Amosov competed in Bellator from 2018 to 2023 and has only competed once since leaving the promotion. He submitted Curtis Millender in the first round in March at a CFFC event. Amosov is originally from the Ukraine but trains at one of the most prestigious MMA gyms, American Top Team. He has 11 submissions and nine knockouts, and he is such a well-rounded fighter. His lone loss came against Jason Jackson in November 2023 at Bellator 301.
Even though Magny is a big underdog, he is still a tough veteran to get past and has shown lately that he is still very capable of an elite performance. Magny’s last five fights have ended by finish and have only gone to the judges’ scorecards twice in the previous 10 contests. Amosov’s last two fights have ended by knockout or submission, and he should enter this bout extremely motivated to make an immediate impact. That said, getting this contest not to go the distance at -160 seems like the best play.
