With the Atlanta Falcons eliminated from playoff contention, it’s time to play spoilers in the NFC South. The Dirty Birds travel to face the division-leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football, and they’ll be itching to ruin the fun. Atlanta will once again turn to Kirk Cousins under center for this matchup.
The Buccaneers are -4.5 home favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook. If you’re keen on a Falcons upset, they’re at +195 on the Moneyline. The total for this game is set at 43.5 points. Let’s dig into my favorite Kirk Cousins prop bet for this game.

With no Drake London in the lineup, the Falcons are forced to narrow the playbook considerably. Right now, the hope is that teams load up to stop Bijan Robinson and the run game, opening plays down the field for Darnell Mooney and Kyle Pitts. It’s not the greatest formula, but it’s what they are working with. While that has not worked on a down-to-down basis all that well, it has resulted in some big plays.
Cousins has completed a pass of at least 30 yards in each of his last three starts. Not only does he have capable field-stretcher to throw to, but Robinson is an incredible downfield threat out of the backfield. He can turn checkdowns into deep gains and run routes up the seams with the grace of a wide receiver. Tampa Bay is all too familiar with his skills.
The Falcons have to lean on the pass against this Buccaneers defense. They generally hold up well against the run, ranking eighth in total rush yards allowed and 16th in rushing yards allowed per game. The secondary is another question entirely, as Tampa Bay ranks 27th in total yards allowed and 26th in yards allowed per pass attempt. And that’s after they had the luxury of playing rookie Tyler Shough, who managed a feeble 121 net yards last week. Before that, Tampa Bay had allowed 250+ passing yards in four straight games, going back to the bye week.
It may not be pretty, but Kirk will find a way to generate a big play in this game. Make sure you’re there to capitalize on it by taking him to record a longest pass over this 32.5-yard mark.
