Saquon Barkley best prop bets for Eagles vs. Chargers on Monday Night Football Week 14

By: Sean Barnard

The Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Chargers will face off to close out the Week 14 NFL slate. Saquon Barkley and company are looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses, but maintain an 8-4 record on the season with all of their goals still in reach.

The Eagles enter as 2.5-point favorites and hold -135 moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Chargers are +114 underdogs, with the game total set at 41.5 points.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in the action outside of backing a side or total. This article will look at my top Saquon Barkley prop bets ahead of tonight’s Week 14 Monday Night Football matchup.

Best Saquon Barkley Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Saquon Barkley Longest Rush Over 16.5 Yards (-110)

The bar was set sky-high after Saquon Barkley enjoyed a historic first season in Philadelphia. But Barkley has mustered up just 61.7 rushing yards per game, which is less than half of what he produced last season. Most of this lack of production has been due to the Eagles’ offensive line being beat up and not creating the same push off the line of scrimmage that has become an identity of the organization.

But Barkley is still capable of making opponents miss when he gets out in space. He has big play ability on any given touch and will continue leaning on this tonight. The Chargers have a strong defense that ranks 11th in points allowed and third in yards conceded. But they are weaker against the run, ranking 20th in opponent yards per carry.

Barkley has produced a longest rush of over 16.5 yards in just three games this season, but has logged a rush with double-digit yardage in 10 of 12 games. This comes after a season last year in which he tallied a longest rush of over 16.5 yards in 13 of the 16 regular-season games, and 16 of the 20 games, including the playoffs.

Barkley has been close to breaking free frequently this season, and the additional rest will serve him well. Los Angeles has been vulnerable to allowing long runs, and Barkley will exploit this opportunity when it presents itself. The Eagles need a spark of life after the back-to-back losses, reeling to find their identity again. Expect Barkley to see an uptick in touches compared to most of the season and break free for at least one long rush tonight.

Saquon Barkley to Record 25+ Receiving Yards (+182)

While he has not been as effective a rusher as last season, Barkley has still been active in the passing game. He is recording 21.6 receiving yards per game, his highest mark since 2020. The reigning Offensive Player of the Year also has 50+ receiving yards in two games this season.

Philadelphia had a long break after last playing on Friday, offering the chance to look themselves in the mirror and evaluate how this offense should look. Any way you slice it, that must involve Saquon Barkley at a high rate. He is the most talented offensive player, and the Eagles will continue being creative in finding ways to put the ball in his hands.

They have been forced to air the ball out more regularly this season, largely due to struggles on the offensive line. This has not cut Barkley out of the plan completely, with the star running back garnering over three targets per game. He has had as many as seven catches in a game and will be looking to bounce back from his first game of the season without a reception last week against the Bears. The Eagles are well aware that his absence in the passing game was a source of their struggles in the loss.

Expect the Eagles to lean on him in the screen game and attempt to involve Barkley early in this game. He has a longest reception of 40+ yards in two games this season, and it could take just one catch to clear the 25-point margin. Count on the Eagles being proactive in putting the ball in his hands in different ways, and for Barkley to record 25+ receiving yards tonight.
