UPDATE: Rollins returned to start the second half on Wednesday.

Milwaukee Bucks guard Ryan Rollins suffered an apparent injury during Wednesday’s game vs. the Detroit Pistons.

Just before halftime, Rollins collided with a couple of Pistons players as he fell to the floor. He appeared to hit his head and checked himself out of the game before walking to the locker room.

No further update on his status has been provided yet.

The young guard played 16 minutes on Wednesday prior to the injury. He recorded nine points, one assist and one rebound while on the floor.

Rollins, 23 years old, is one of the breakout players of the season thus far. The third-year player out of Toledo averages 17.7 points per game along with 5.8 assists and 4.0 rebounds, all while shooting 48.1% from the field and 40.5% from three-point range. He’s performed admirably for a Bucks team in desperate need of additional options behind Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was also injured earlier in the game and will not return.

If Rollins doesn’t return, watch for Gary Trent Jr. or Cole Anthony to see additional minutes in the second half.

The Bucks are just 9-13 this season, a rough start for a franchise with aspirations of making the postseason yet again. At the time Rollins exited, they trailed the Pistons 52-49.
