NFL Best Bets: Dolphins vs. Saints Best Prop Bets for Week 13

This is an interesting game because neither team benefits from winning. Both the Dolphins and Saints are tanking and could use a high draft pick to help rebuild the roster.

Still, there are a couple players to consider for prop bets.

Miami is a 5.5-point favorite and -265 on the moneyline, while New Orleans is +215 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 42.5 points.

Here are my favorite player props for this Week 13 NFL game between the Dolphins and Saints.

Dolphins vs. Saints Best Prop Bets

De’Von Achane over 80.5 rushing yards (-110)

There’s not much to like about the Dolphins this season aside from De’Von Achane. He’s not just Miami’s best player, but he’s also one of the best running backs in the NFL. It’s a shame his production isn’t going toward meaningful football this year.

Nonetheless, he’s an excellent player to bank on for this week. Achane is averaging 5.5 yards per rush, which ranks third in the league behind Jahmyr Gibbs and Jonathan Taylor.

Achane is up to 900 yards this season, which ranks sixth overall. Despite this and his yards per carry average, he’s not even in the top 15 for carries (164). He’s recording 14.9 carries per game, but did hit 20+ in each of his past two performances.

Normally consistent high volume is a must for overs, but such is not the case for Achane. He’s so efficient and is going against a weak defense that’s trying to lose.

Chris Olave under 23.5 yards – longest reception (-115)

The Dolphins’ defense isn’t inspiring, but it’s a slightly above average unit against the pass. That could be troublesome for rookie quarterback Tyler Shough. This will be his fourth career start, and while he’s shown some flashes, it’s not enough to have confidence in Chris Olave.

Olave has been one of the few standouts for the Saints this season, proving his capability is only limited by his availability. Now that he’s healthy, he’s back to his 1,000-yard season pace. Olave is a regular target for Shough, but last week’s yards per reception was 7.8.

It could be difficult for Olave to break free for a long pass against Miami. Shough will likely pepper him for short gains like he did last week.
