What happened to Aaron Gordon? Live injury updates for Nuggets vs. Rockets on 11/21/25

Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon suffered a hamstring injury during Friday’s game vs. the Houston Rockets and is questionable to return.

During the first quarter, Gordon drove to the basket and crumped around the restricted area. He did stand up and try and remain in the game, but he was walking gingerly afterward and checked out to head to the locker room.

Gordon played just three minutes prior to the injury, recording one point and two rebounds.

If he does not return, any of Bruce Brown, Peyton Watson or Zeke Nnaji may slot in at the four in Gordon’s stead. If the Nuggets wanted to go big, Jonas Valanciunas could also play alongside Nikola Jokic in a massive frontcourt combo.

The 30-year-old forward is in the midst of a career-best season with 20.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. He notably has missed time due to hamstring issues over the last couple of seasons and came into this contest probable due to hamstring injury management, so it’s possible he reaggravated an injury suffered earlier in the campaign.
