Woody Marks 50+ Rushing Yards
While the Titans held Marks to just 44 rushing yards last week, this is a perfect bounce back spot for him vs. the Bills. Marks has taken on a more featured role the last two weeks, logging 73.1% of the snaps and averaging 16 carries per game, which is 80% of the running back carries for the Texans. The rookie rushed for 63 yards vs. a solid Jaguars’ rush defense just two weeks ago, and he gets a friendlier matchup against Buffalo this week. The Bills give up the second-most yards per rush in the league (5.4). De’Von Achane and Sean Tucker rushed for 174 and 106 rushing yards, respectively, vs. Buffalo in the last two weeks. Since returning from its bye in Week 7, Buffalo is allowing 129 rushing yards per game to running backs.
Jayden Higgins 25+ Receiving Yards
Higgins, Marks’ fellow rookie teammate, has also seen his role grow over the last two weeks. The second-round pick out of Iowa State caught five of seven targets for 42 yards and a touchdown vs. the Jaguars in Week 10 and four of seven targets for 55 yards vs. the Titans in Week 11. During this stretch, the 22-year-old has operated as the Texans’ No. 2 receiver over Christian Kirk, with Higgins seeing 14 targets on 53 routes, compared to Kirk’s seven targets on 50 routes. Higgins is handling a 16.7% target share with a team-high 14.1 aDOT in these last two games. Reaching 25 receiving yards should be easy for the ascending wideout, despite the Bills giving up the eighth-fewest yards per pass this season (6.2).
Ty Johnson O 8.5 Receiving Yards
Johnson has seen an increased role as a pass catcher out of the backfield for the Bills recently. He’s caught two passes in each of his last three games, finishing with 12, 24 and 61 receiving yards, in that order. During this span, Johnson is running a route on 41% of his team’s dropbacks and is garnering a target on 14% of those routes. This is an ugly matchup, as the Texans’ defense is allowing the fewest yards per pass this season (5.4), but 8.5 receiving yards is simply too low of a line for Johnson right now.
