Best NHL player prop bets for Thursday 11/20/25

The NHL returns with a jam-packed 12-game slate on Thursday night, with first puck drop set for 7:00 p.m. ET. The Capitals, Oilers and Ducks all played last night, and are the only teams operating on zero days’ rest.

Here are my top three NHL player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Thursday, November 20.

Best NHL props for Thursday 11/20/25

Brad Marchand 2+ Points (+225)

Marchand has 13 goals and 10 assists across 18 games this season, with four two-point games in the last six tilts. While the Devils are 5-0-1 across their last six games and are starting a trusty goaltender in Jake Allen tonight, the club has flaws, and I think Marchand will take advantage of them. Allen is 7-2-0 with a 2.25 GAA and .916 SV%, but the Devils rank 26th in 5v5 goals against per 60. Florida ranks 16th in 5v5 goals per 60, but Marchand ranks fourth in 5v5 points per 60 and second in 5v5 goals per 60.

Jake Guentzel Anytime Goalscorer (+135)

Guentzel is up to 11 goals and nine assists through the first 20 games of the new season. The 31-year-old is coming off a hat-trick and has netted a goal in four of the past five games. Edmonton will likely start Calvin Pickard between the pipes tonight, and he has struggled with a 2-3-1 record, 4.17 GAA and .830 SV%. Out of 75 eligible goaltenders, Pickard ranks 62nd in goals saved above expected. As a team, the Oilers are allowing the fourth-most 5v5 goals against per 60. The Lightning rank eighth in 5v5 goals for per 60, with Guentzel ranking seventh in the NHL in xGoals for 60.

Adrian Kempe 4+ Shots on Goal (+120)

The 29-year-old has cleared this mark in five straight games, while averaging 9.4 shot attempts per game. The streak is going to end sooner or later, but not tonight. San Jose ranks third in shots allowed per game, with Los Angeles ranking 10th in shots per game. Kempe ranks sixth in the NHL in shot attempts per 60, but has failed to find the back of the net in the past six outings, despite the consistent shot totals. Tonight is a great bounce-back spot for him, as the Sharks are poor defensively and rank 12th in high-danger chances allowed.
