For the final event of the 2025 PGA TOUR season, the RSM Classic will be played at the Seaside Course (par 70, 7,005 yards, Bermuda greens) and the Plantation Course (par 72, 7,060 yards, Bermuda greens) of the Sea Island Resort in St. Simons Island, Georgia. Each player of this 156-man field will play one round on both courses and then there will be a top-65 and ties cut, with the golfers who advance playing their final two rounds of the RSM Classic at the Seaside Course. As the final event of the season, only the top-100 players in the FedEx Cup Fall standings following the RSM Classic will earn full-time status for the 2026 PGA TOUR season.
Below, I have featured my two favorite bets for the RSM Classic on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Michael Thorbjornsen to win (+2500)
Thorbjornsen contended in his RSM Classic debut last season and he returns to the Sea Island Resort this week as a more polished player. Thorbjornsen was the No. 225 ranked player in the world heading into last year’s RSM Classic, but he now is the No. 73 ranked player.
The Stanford graduate has only missed one cut in his last 10 starts and he has finished inside the top-15 four times during this stretch, including a third-place finish at the Baycurrent Classic last month. Thorbjornsen ranks sixth in strokes gained per round when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds, and he ranks seventh in strokes gained per round when we compare this field’s histories at fall events. Additionally, Thorbjornsen ranks fifth in strokes gained per round when we analyze this field’s histories at venues with Bermuda greens, and he also ranks 11th in par four performance this season, making him a perfect match for this week’s host venue in the Seaside Course — a traditional par 70 that is home to Bermuda putting surfaces.
Everything is lining up for Thorbjornsen to succeed this week. To break through for his first PGA TOUR win at the RSM Classic would be the perfect ending to a great season by the 24-year-old.
Chris Kirk to win (+3500)
Kirk is a Georgia native who always gears up for the RSM Classic. The veteran won this event in 2013, which is one of his three top-five finishes at the RSM Classic. Kirk has made 9-of-15 cuts at this fall tournament and while he hasn’t competed since August, the 40-year-old was close to securing his seventh PGA TOUR win many times this summer.
In his eight starts from June to August, Kirk finished inside the top-15 five times, including a runner-up at the Rocket Classic, a T5 at the Wyndham Championship and a T9 at the St. Jude Championship, which is most recent outing. Kirk has gained strokes in every major category in four of his last six starts and he ranks ninth in strokes gained per round when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds.
Furthermore, Kirk ranks fourth in 400-450 yard par efficiency during this time, which bodes extremely well for the Seaside Course. Nine of the 12 par fours at this par 70 fall between 400-450 yards and two of the last three winners of the RSM Classic have led their fields in 400-450 yard par four efficiency. With six PGA TOUR victories on his resume, Kirk is no stranger to hoisting the big check and taking a chance on him at this +3500 price is a sharp move this week.
