Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia 76ers vs. Los Angeles Clippers ($10,600)
I’m not a fan of the game environment, as Los Angeles is 29th in pace while Philadelphia is 24th. But Los Angeles is 25th in defensive rating and the backcourt defense in particular is #not good. Maxey has put up at least 50 FPTS in all but three games this season with five games over 60 FPTS. In the games he failed to hit 50 FPTS, Maxey put up at least 44 FPTS in all. The main allures of Maxey, though, are that there’s a good chance he will play over 40 minutes, something he’s done seven times this season, and Joel Embiid is out so the usage rate will be robust.

Landry Shamet, New York Knicks at Miami Heat ($4,400)
Shamet went for 45.5 FPTS last game, as he shot 12-of-19 from the field against the Heat in New York. I’m not expecting that kind of production, but he did play 37 minutes and I think he gets over 30 minutes in this one as well because Jalen Brunson is out once again. Miami is playing at the fastest pace in the league and he should get plenty of opportunities, even though Miami will be more aware of Shamet this time.

Karl-Anthony Towns, New York Knicks at Miami Heat ($9,500)
Like Shamet, Towns also had an excellent game against the Heat on Friday, going for 65.2 FPTS. Unlike Shamet, though, I think Towns has a chance of replicating that performance because Miami plays fast, there is no Bam Adebayo to try and neutralize him and much of the offense should flow through him due to Brunson not being available.

Dominick Barlow, Philadelphia 76ers vs. Los Angeles Clippers ($5,000)
Barlow returned from a nine-game absence due to injury and contributed 28.5 FPTS in 29 minutes. He’s a low-usage player but contributes a little something something in every statistical category. His length, hustle and defense endear him to the coaching staff which should keep the playing time high.

Jalen Duren, Detroit Pistons vs. Indiana Pacers ($8,000)
Duren missed two games due to an ankle injury but he’s listed as probable for this one. Prior to the injury, Duren put up at least 50 FPTS in four of six games. Duren is a beast on the glass, has been racking up steals and the offseason work with Rasheed Wallace has paid dividends, as the offensive bag is deeper now. Indiana is ninth in pace and 26th in defensive rating, with a center rotation that cannot match him physically.

Kel’el Ware, Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks ($6,000)
Ware was in the Erik Spoelstra doghouse over the summer and remained a resident early in the season. Then Spoelstra had no option but to move Ware into the main house due to Adebayo’s injury. And Ware has delivered, putting up at least 32 FPTS in four of five starts with a high of 46 FPTS. Ware has double-doubled in each of the last three games while racking up at least an assist, a block and a steal in the last four contests. Ware may not be in the Spoelstra penthouse, but he likely won’t be going back to the doghouse for a while, if at all.
