What happened to Darius Garland? Live injury updates for Cavaliers vs. Heat on 11/10/25

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland suffered an apparent injury during Monday’s game vs. the Miami Heat and will not return.

Around the end of the third quarter, Garland seemed to start limping and took a foul so he could exit the game. He headed back to the locker room and was ruled out shortly after due to a toe injury.

Garland played 19 minutes on Monday, recording 11 points, two assists and five rebounds prior to his exit.

Beyond the fact he plays a major role as the Cavaliers’ starting point guard, Garland’s status is particularly worth keeping an eye on due to injury history. The 25-year-old underwent toe surgery this offseason and only just returned to the lineup back on November 1, his first NBA action since last year’s postseason. He played two games before sitting out on November 8, so tonight’s contest is only his third of the new season.

If Garland misses any time, expect Lonzo Ball or Craig Porter Jr. to see additional minutes in his absence.

Prior to the conclusion of Monday’s game, the Cavaliers were 7-3 and second place among the Eastern Conference.
