UPDATE: Powell is starting the second half.

UPDATE: Norman Powell is questionable to return to the game.

With around three minutes left in the second quarter of Friday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets, Norman Powell drove down the middle of the lane then attempted a left-handed layup. He looked to have injured his right ankle when landing. He is now in the locker room.

Nikola Jovic was the substitute.

Prior to exiting, Powell contributed 11 points, two rebounds and an assist in 13 minutes of action.

Powell missed three games earlier in the season due to a groin injury. Pelle Larsson entered the starting lineup for Powell in those contests with Kel’el Ware in a reserve role. With Bam Adebayo out, both Ware and Larsson started on Saturday. If Powell misses time and Adebayo returns to the lineup, then it will likely be Ware who returns to the bench with Larsson staying in the starting lineup.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
