LaMelo Ball Injury Update: 11/7/25 vs. the Heat

It appears that LaMelo Ball is about to miss his third straight contest. After initially being listed as questionable for tonight’s game against the Heat with an ankle injury, Ball has now been downgraded to doubtful. To make matters worse, so has Collin Sexton (neck).

Sexton has been a massive part of Charlotte’s rotation with Ball missing. On November 2 versus the Jazz, Sexton registered 12 assists and a 25.4% usage rate in 29.2 minutes of action. On November 4 against the Pelicans, Sexton saw a team-high 29.4% usage rate and translated that into 17 points and five dimes — along with five turnovers.

As you might expect, there isn’t much of a sample for the Hornets playing in 2025-26 without both point guards, but it is worth noting that Miles Bridges owns a humongous 38.4% usage rate in the 58 possessions he’s logged without Ball and Sexton. He and rookie Kon Knueppel should be very viable DFS plays on Friday, in a matchup with a Heat squad that leads the NBA in pace (106.4). Tre Mann, who had 18 points of his own in Tuesday’s loss, will likely move into the starting five. He is also obviously viable with just a $4,900 price tag on DraftKings.
