There are two Game 4s and two Game 3s in the 2024 NBA Playoffs Saturday, with the possibility of one first-round series coming to a close when the Nuggets take on the Lakers in primetime. Here’s a look at some of the best bargain options DFS managers can target for their lineups in Saturday’s contests.
In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays $5K or under that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. We are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.
Moritz Wagner, Magic, $3,900
There aren’t too many consistent players under the $5k threshold, but Wagner has shown signs of carving out a sizable role in the Magic frontcourt. Jonathan Isaac is an alternative option at $4,600 but he hasn’t outperformed Wagner by enough of a margin to justify the higher price point. I think the Magic continue to roll with the hot hand on the interior and at this price, you can really do some damage if Wagner makes an impact early in Game 4.
Caleb Martin, Heat, $4,800
It’s hard to see the Heat hitting 23 three-pointers again in Game 3, so they’ll need to be more consistent offensively overall. Martin had a bit of a breakout effort in Game 2 with 21 points en route to 28 fantasy poitns, and Miami needs him to be a scorer with Jimmy Butler out. The forward has shot the ball much better from range at home this season as opposed to the road, so he’s worth backing in a pivotal contest for both teams.
Lu Dort, Thunder, $4,600
Dort has been a model of consistency in DFS this season, averaging 21 fantasy points per game. He hasn’t really had many down performances but his ceiling is limited despite being a starter in one of the league’s best offenses. The Pelicans have been solid defensively, ranking 10th in fantasy points allowed to opposing small forwards, and Dort is primarily getting playing time for his exceptional defense. However, if he can nail a couple triples early, that might boost his confidence to keep being aggressive on the offensive end and lead to a decent fantasy outing.
