The Atlanta Hawks were one of the hyped teams entering the season, but are 1-2 after three games. One of the reasons has been the health, or lack thereof, to the frontcourt. Jalen Johnson missed a game due to an ankle injury, Zaccharie Risacher was out for two games due to a quad contusion and Kristaps Porzingis caught a bug and missed two games with an illness. All three are questionable for Monday’s game in Chicago.
If Porzingis is out, Onyeka Okongwu would likely start at center. If Johnson is out, Mouhamed Gueye would likely slot in at power forward. If Risacher is out, then Nickeil Alexander-Walker would likely start for him.
It’s a four-game road trip for Atlanta next week with games in Chicago, Brooklyn, Indiana and Cleveland.
