UPDATE: The Giants have officially ruled Cam Skattebo out for the remainder of the game due to his ankle injury.
He also has been taken to the hospital for further evaluation on the injured ankle.

Giants star running back Cam Skattebo suffered a gruesome looking ankle injury in the second quarter of the matchup with the Eagles. Jaxson Dart was targeting his fellow rookie over the middle on a passing play and Skattebo ankle awkwardly turned the wrong way leading to the trainers rapidly coming out the field.
The reaction of the players told the story and Skattebo was carted off the field to a nice applause from the fans. Before the injury occurred, the Arizona State product has three carries for 12 yards and added an 18-yard touchdown reception.
This injury is a major hit to a Giants team that has been trending in the right direction. Skattebo had seen his role grow in the offense in recent weeks, including tallying 98 rushing yards and three touchdowns against this same Eagles team two weeks ago.
