Sunday night presents a seven-game NBA main slate on DraftKings. Below, I dive into my two favorite bargain plays for this slate.

Set your DraftKings fantasy basketball lineups here: NBA $150K Fadeaway [$50K to 1st]

SF/PF, Jarace Walker, Indiana Pacers at Minnesota Timberwolves, $3,400

Walker has been rock solid coming off the bench for the Pacers this season, generating 23.6 FPTS in 28.3 minutes per game. Indiana dropped to 0-2 last night with a loss to the Grizzlies, and not only did Andrew Nembhard (shoulder) and T.J. McConnell (hamstring) miss this game for the Pacers, but Benedict Mathurin exited this contest with a foot injury, who has been the team’s leading scorer this season.

All three of Mathurin, Nembhard, and McConnell will be out Sunday, and in this situation, Walker should see a healthy usage rate and around 30 minutes, putting him in a prime position to destroy his cheap salary, regardless of facing this Timberwolves defense that ranks sixth in rating. With Mathurin, Nembhard, and McConnell off the floor the last two seasons, Walker’s usage rises 3.8 percentage points to 21.2% and he is amassing 1.0 FPTS per minute.

C, Ryan Kalkbrenner, Charlotte Hornets at Washington Wizards, $4,300

After being selected by the Hornets in the second round of this past NBA draft, Kalkbrenner has served as Charlotte’s starting center this season, and the rookie has produced 28.75 and 27.75 FPTS in these two starts. Kalkbrenner ranks fourth for the Hornets in playing time at 26.4 minutes per game, and the big man should see some extra usage tonight with Brandon Miller (shoulder) inactive.

Albeit a limited sample of 27 minutes, Kalkbrenner’s usage rate is increasing a team-high 5.2 percentage points to 19.1% with Miller off the court this season, resulting in an awesome 1.4 FPTS per minute for Kalkbrenner. Not only is he in store for an expanded role, but Kalkbrenner is in a beautiful spot vs. the Wizards.

After being one of the fastest teams in the NBA last season, Washington has remained an up-tempo group this season, ranking third in pace. This game’s total is the second-highest total on the slate at 238.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook, and Kalkbrenner has the potential for over 30 FPTS in this spot.
