Week 8 of the 2025-26 NFL season continues with a great Sunday Night Football matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. DK Metcalf More Than 0.5 Rushing + Receiving TDs
DK Metcalf has had an up-and-down start to his Steelers tenure. Pittsburgh is 4-2 on the season, coming off a bad loss to the Bengals on Thursday Night Football. However, after extended rest, the Steelers should be prepared for a tough matchup against the Packers. Aaron Rodgers will be highly motivated to take down his old team, and he will need DK Metcalf to do so. Metcalf leads the Steelers in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns this season. He is the Steelers’ only serious threat as a pass catcher, and it’s where Aaron Rodgers looks when he needs to get the ball out.
Metcalf has four touchdowns in his past five games and has a good shot to score another one against the Packers. The Packers’ defense, which looked strong to start the season, has fallen off. Green Bay ranks 15th in the NFL in defensive EPA/dropback, so Rodgers should move it through the air. In recent weeks, top receivers like Ja’Marr Chase and George Pickens have put up big numbers against the Packers. Metcalf should do the same, finding the end zone against Green Bay.
Matthew Golden More Than 41.5 Receiving Yards
Matthew Golden is starting to come alive in the Packers’ offense. The Packers used a first-round pick on Golden, hoping he could finally be that WR1 for Jordan Love they’ve been looking for. While he isn’t quite that guy yet, he is working in the right direction. After being a virtual non-factor the first two weeks of the season, he is averaging 58.3 receiving yards per game over his past four. Golden has been used in unique ways through the running game as well, as Matt LaFleur looks to get him involved by any means possible.
There is a clear focus from the Packers to get Golden the ball, and he can break a big play any time he touches it. In three of the past four games, he has taken a catch for at least 34 yards. With that big-play ability, it won’t take many touches for Golden to get over 41.5 receiving yards. The Steelers rank 21st in defensive EPA/dropback, so Love should be able to hit some deep shots against this defense. As Matthew Golden continues to get up to NFL speed, this is a good chance for him to have another solid game.
Tucker Kraft More Than 4.5 Receptions
Tucker Kraft has turned into a machine at tight end for the Packers. He is averaging 52.3 receiving yards per game over his past three games. He has also been the go-to guy in the red zone for Jordan Love, tied for the team lead with four receiving touchdowns on the season. This matchup against the Steelers sets up for a big game for Tucker Kraft. The Steelers have struggled against tight ends this season, allowing six catches for 67.2 yards per game to opposing tight ends. Harold Fannin Jr., Noah Fant and Hunter Henry have all had big games against the Steelers in recent weeks.
The Steelers work hard to prevent the big plays and make teams chip away at them down the field. Love should look for his tight end in the middle of the field on key third downs and in the red zone. Kraft has gone over this number in two of his past three games and should do so again in this primetime matchup.
