Darnold and the Seahawks offense will have their hands full on Monday night, as the Texans rank fifth in the NFL against the pass, only allowing 175.2 yards per game. It’s good vs. good in that department, however, as Seattle ranks fifth in passing yards per game on offense with 252.2.
Darnold has gone over this passing total in four of six games so far this season, including in each of his last three starts. He has six games under his belt with this offense now and looks more than comfortable. On the season, he’s completing 70.8% of his passes, has thrown for 1,541 yards and 11 touchdowns while only throwing three interceptions. He is averaging 256.8 passing yards per game, which is the eighth-best in the league.
Darnold is performing at an elite level for the second straight season, and despite Houston being a top-five passing defense, I would trust Darnold against anyone right now.
