Bucky Irving (foot) will miss his third game in a row Monday and with the back sidelined, White has been the Buccaneers’ featured back, which has resulted in a strong receiving role for the veteran. Over the last two weeks, White has finished with receiving lines of 4/30/0 and 3/21/0 while hauling in all seven of his targets and averaging a strong 10.4 YPR.

Usage-wise, White has run a route on 69% of his team’s dropbacks and he has seen a target on 16% of those routes with Irving inactive, which are great rates for a running back. White has always been an excellent pass-catching back throughout his career and while Monday presents an average matchup, with the Lions allowing the 12th-most yards per pass this season (6.8), Tampa Bay will likely be forced to rely on its passing game as six-point road underdogs for this tilt.

White should be busy as a receiver in this likely shootout – this game’s 53.5-point total is the second-largest total the league has seen this season – and he is an awesome bet for over 20.5 receiving yards in this environment.
