Monday Night Football has a juicy doubleheader on tap this week to round out a great Week 7. The first game is a great matchup between NFC playoff hopefuls as the Buccaneers visit the Lions in the Motor City. The 4-2 Lions are looking to bounce back from a primetime loss to the Chiefs in Week 6, while the Bucs are 5-1 and coming off a big home win over the 49ers.
Detroit is a 6-point favorite with -285 odds, while Tampa Bay is listed as a +230 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at an elevated 53.5 points.
Here are my favorite player props for this Week 7 showdown between the Buccaneers and Lions.

Baker Mayfield 250+ passing yards (+104)
The Buccaneers’ receivers are still uncertain with Mike Evans (hamstring) and Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) both questionable but possibly available.
Whether Mayfield has one, both, or even neither of those options, I like this Baker prop to get to at least 250 passing yards at plus money. Mayfield has thrown for at least 250 passing yards in each of the Bucs’ last three games. He threw for a season-high 379 passing yards in his last road game, which was a high-scoring, back-and-forth matchup in Seattle. This game could also turn into a track meet, and the Bucs’ are very confident putting it on Baker to win them the game with his arm.
The Lions have have given up over 250 passing yards in three of the last four weeks.
In the indoor environment of Ford Field and with the Lions likely putting up plenty of points, I expect Baker and the Bucs to air it out, blowing away this player prop.
Jahmyr Gibbs under 92.5 Rush + Receiving Yards (-114)
Lions coach Dan Campbell and assistant head coach Scottie Montgomery both made a point of talking this week about balancing out the workload in the backfield. So far this season, Jahmyr Gibbs has started all six games, playing 62 percent of offensive snaps, and getting 87 carries and 23 catches. The other half of the backcourt duo, David Montgomery has come in and, played 39 percent of offensive snaps, with 65 carries and just nine catches.
Gibbs has averaged 83.7 rushing and receiving yards this season, so even if he matches his average, he’ll come in under this prop. He had 65 and 87 total yards the last two weeks after going over this production line in three straight weeks after a quiet opener.
The Bucs defense has done a good job against running backs overall. They gave up 111 rushing and receiving yards to Christian McCaffrey last week, but have kept every other running back they have faced under 90 total yards since Week 1.
Especially if he gets less work than usual this week, I think he’ll likely come in under this yardage total.
Sam LaPorta over 4.5 receptions (+106)
The Lions have kept LaPorta more involved this season than last year, when he had an inconsistent sophomore year. This year, he has 26 catches for 324 yards and two touchdowns. His average is 4.3 catches per contest, but he has gone over this receptions line in each of the last two games.
He had five catches for 92 yards against the Bengals in Week 5 and followed that up with five more catches last week for 55 yards. When the games are close and competitive, Jared Goff finds a way to get him involved, and I think Monday’s game will be close throughout.
The Bucs have been a good matchup for tight ends this season, giving up an average of 5.5 catches to the position per game. Last week, Jake Tonges had six catches, in Week 5, AJ Barner had seven catches, and back in Week 1, Kyle Pitts had seven catches as well.
LaPorta should be a key part of the Lions’ game plan again this week, and I like getting this player prop at plus money for Monday Night Football.
