This is the moment that Seattle has been waiting for. Forty-eight seasons have come and gone without a single World Series appearance. But following an epic Game 5 victory over the Blue Jays — their first home ALCS win since 2001 — the Mariners are now just one win away from punching their first-ever ticket to the Fall Classic.
Holding a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-seven series, the Mariners will have to clinch the pennant in enemy territory. They seized Games 1 and 2 of the ALCS in Toronto, but it won’t be easy to do it again — the Blue Jays went 54-27 at Rogers Centre this season, the best home record in the American League.
Seattle will want to handle business on Sunday and avoid a winner-take-all Game 7, but they’ll need to be at their best against one of the most dangerous teams in the league. Fortunately for the Mariners, their superstar catcher has been on fire this postseason — rising to the occasion time and again.
First pitch is set for 8:03 p.m. ET. Toronto enters as -127 favorites on the moneyline, while Seattle is listed as a +105 underdog. The total is set at 7.5 runs.

He’ll step into the box Sunday against Toronto’s 22-year-old right-hander Trey Yesavage. The burgeoning rookie was tagged by the Mariners in Game 2, with Raleigh going 0-for-1 but drawing a pair of free passes. Against righties this season, Raleigh held a .909 OPS and went deep 38 times.
This is the moment Seattle fans have been starving for since the franchise’s inception in 1977. On Sunday night, it’s only fitting that Raleigh helps make that dream a reality.
