The National League Championship Series could come to a close in a sweep on Friday night in Los Angeles. The Dodgers have dominated Milwaukee so far, and they’ll look to punch their ticket back to the Fall Classic with a win at home. Game 4 starts at 8:38 p.m. ET and will close out an awesome doubleheader of playoff baseball.
The Dodgers will start Shohei Ohtani, while the Brewers will likely give the bulk of the work to Jose Quintana, although they haven’t announced whether he will serve as a traditional starter or work in bulk relief. Since it’s an elimination game, they will likely empty the bullpen and be extremely aggressive changing pitchers, so counting on any specific matchup isn’t the best plan on their side of the box score.

Brewers vs. Dodgers Prop Bets for Game 4
Shohei Ohtani over 6.5 strikeouts (-111)
Ohtani has been struggling at the plate during this series, but he has a chance to get a win on the mound to get the Dodgers back to the World Series.
In the NLDS, Ohtani spun six innings and had nine strikeouts against the Phillies in Game 1, and he ramped up to six innings with an eight-strikeout performance against the Dbacks in his final regular-season start. In his last seven regular-season outings, he racked up 45 strikeouts in 32 innings, including four games of at least seven strikeouts even though he was pitching only four innings at the start of that stretch.
The Brewers have struck out 30 times in the three games this series with Blake Snell striking out 10 in Game 1, Yamamoto striking out seven in Game 2, and Glasnow striking out eight in Game 3. The Brew Crew bats have struggled badly in this series, and given how strikeout-heavy Shohei has been lately, I think he’ll hit the over on this prop on Friday. You could even ladder this up using 8+ strikeouts at +176 and 9+ strikeouts at +327.
Christian Yelich under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI (-149)
The Brewers bats have gone quiet, and Yelich has been in the middle of the struggles. In the playoffs, he’s gone just 6-for-30 (.200) with three runs scored and no RBI. In the eight postseason games, he has just nine HRR (hits, runs, and RBI) and an average of 1.1 HRR per game.
In this series, he is just 1-for-11 with a single, a walk, and a stolen base. He has been under 1.5 HRR in each of the three games in this series and in five straight games, dating back to his series against the Cubs.
Yelich is just a .224 hitter in his 26 career postseason games with an average of 1.08 HRR per game in the postseason. He also finished the regular season on a downward trajectory, going just 5-for-30 (.167) over the last eight games of the season. Yelich can get hot and carry the team’s offense, but his streaky production has run cold at the wrong time for Milwaukee.
Tommy Edman 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI (-123)
Switch-hitting Tommy Edman will be on the strong side of his splits against the Brewers and lefty starter Jose Quintana on Friday. I included him as one of my top home run props of the day as a longshot option, and he comes at very favorable odds for this simple 2+ HRR prop as well.
Edman made an impression with his postseason play last year, and the Dodgers inked him to a five-year deal this past offseason. While he was limited by injury during the regular season, he has been back in top form for the playoffs.
In this postseason, he’s is 9-for-31 (.290) and has hit safely in all but one of his eight games. He has three runs scored and five RBI, coming up with multiple key hits in clutch situations. He has averaged 2.1 HRR per game this postseason, and the Dodgers should be able to get runs against Quintana and the Brew Crew bullpen in Game 4.
Edman will likely be right in the middle of the run production on Friday and can get to 2+ HRR in just a single plate appearance in many ways.
While I’d love to find some longer odds, the Dodgers’ hitters are all priced with short odds overall. Even if he doesn’t go yard, I like Edman to get at least a pair of HRR.
