The Milwaukee Brewers were the most dominant team of the regular season — but the Los Angeles Dodgers are proving that money talks in October.
Through three games of the National League Championship Series, the $321 million powerhouse has completely dismantled the small-market Brew Crew. Now just one win away from completing a four-game sweep and securing their fifth NL pennant in nine years, the Dodgers are eying a chance to become the first team to repeat as World Series champions since the New York Yankees from 1998 to 2000.
And it’s only fitting that, to get there, Los Angeles will hand the ball to its most prized free agent acquisition: two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani. The $700 million man will toe the slab at Dodger Stadium on Friday night, looking to dispatch the Brewers and catapult his squad back to the Fall Classic.
First pitch is set for 8:38 p.m. ET. Los Angeles enters as -206 favorites on the moneyline, while Milwaukee sits as a +167 underdog. The total is set at 7.5 runs.

Still, Friday night is a prime opportunity for the Japanese phenom to get back on track. He will try to build on the momentum from a leadoff triple in Game 3 — doing so against Milwaukee southpaw Jose Quintana, a pitcher he’s crushed in limited action. Ohtani is 2-for-6 lifetime against Quintana with two home runs, three walks, and four RBIs. The 36-year-old lefty hasn’t pitched since tossing three scoreless innings against the Cubs in Game 3 of the NLDS on Oct. 8.

The two-way superstar made his postseason pitching debut in Game 1 of the NLDS against the Phillies, allowing three runs over six innings while punching out nine. If he’s on his game Friday night, it could mark a long night for Milwaukee — and a champagne-soaked celebration in the City of Stars.
