There are two Monday Night games on tonight’s schedule to close down the Week 6 NFL slate. In the second matchup, the Washington Commanders will host the Chicago Bears. D.J. Moore and company will be looking to move above .500 on the season and are coming off a bye week with extra rest on their side.
This is a matchup between the top two selections in last year’s NFL Draft, who had very different rookie seasons. First overall pick Caleb Williams was sacked an NFL-most 68 times last season, and the Bears finished with a 5-12 record. Expectations have shifted this year with Ben Johnson taking over as head coach and the team being off to a 2-2 start.
Second overall pick Jayden Daniels had about as ideal a rookie season as a player could ask for. He led the Commanders to a 12-5 regular season record and the Conference Championship for the first time since 1991. Daniels earned Offensive Rookie of the Year honors and is looking to build off this again this year, even if he has already lost two weeks due to a knee injury. These two young quarterbacks have faced off once so far in their NFL careers, which resulted in a Commanders victory on a Hail Mary and made for one of the better endings in recent NFL history.
Looking at the odds for tonight’s matchup on DraftKings Sportsbook, the Commanders enter as 5.5-point favorites and hold -250 odds on the moneyline. The Bears hold +205 odds of getting the outright victory, with the game total set at 49.5 points.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in the action outside of backing a side or total. This article will look at my top D.J. Moore prop bets ahead of tonight’s Week 6 Monday Night Football matchup.
Best D.J. Moore Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
D.J. Moore Over 3.5 Receptions (-136)
There are plenty of mouths to feed in the Chicago offense, but D.J. Moore brings a necessary level of experience and a skillset the offense needs. Through the opening four games, Moore has pulled in 16 receptions on 21 targets for 173 yards and a touchdown. Even if Rome Odunze looks to be emerging as the top pass-catcher, Moore has been targeted at least five times in every game this year.
This is a friendly matchup for the Bears’ passing attack. Washington ranks ninth in points allowed but 25th in total yards conceded. They rank 23rd in passing yards allowed, 16th in passing touchdowns conceded, and 27th in yards allowed per pass attempt. Opposing quarterbacks are averaging 7.5 yards per pass attempt and completing an average of 20 passes per game against the Commanders. Caleb Williams needs to continue on his developmental trajectory, but has shown some encouraging progress to start the year.
Odunze and Luther Burden III may have a higher ceiling of potential and more big-play ability in the short term. But Moore’s reliable hands are necessary as a safety valve for Williams in the offense. He has pulled in three, five, four, and four receptions across the opening four games.
Across his season and a half played with Williams, Moore has pulled in over 3.5 receptions in 17 of the 21 games. Getting -136 odds for this to continue occurring is great value, and Moore’s best games of the season surely have not occurred. Look for him to benefit from a vulnerable Commanders’ defense and tally at least four receptions for the fourth time this season.
D.J. Moore to Record 50+ Receiving Yards (+146)
While Moore is most frequently used in the short and medium passing games, this does not mean he is not capable of picking up chunks of yardage when the situation presents itself. He tallied 966 receiving yards last year and had 1,364 yards through the air in the 2023 season in Chicago.
So far this season, Moore has posted receiving totals of 68, 46, 21, and 38 yards. His standard receiving prop line is set at 38.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook. While his production has not been overly disappointing, Moore still has yet to play to his peak or receive his expected level of pass volume. He is being targeted on just 4.8% of his routes against man coverage and poses an overall target share of 16%. For reference, Olamide Zaccheaus is receiving a more significant target share of this Bears’ roster at 16.8%.
Expect the bye week to have served as a necessary reset and for this vulnerable Commanders defense to provide the opportunity for Moore to get back to the high-level wide receiver he can be. His current average of 43.3 receiving yards per game is a career low. Expect there to be a clear effort to get him involved in the offensive attack at a more regular rate. Not only am I backing his standard receiving prop, but I am backing the +146 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook for Moore to pull in 50+ receiving yards tonight.
