Up next for the PGA TOUR is the Baycurrent Classic, formerly known as the ZOZO Championship. On top of dawning a new name, this fall event will be played at a new course. The Baycurrent Classic will be played at Yokohama Country Club (par 71, 7,315 yards, bentgrass greens) in Yokohama, Japan, which is the first time this course has hosted a PGA TOUR tournament. There will be 78 golfers competing at the Baycurrent Classic and there will be no cut for this tournament.
Yokohama CC is a tree-lined par 71 that features wide fairways, large greens, 86 bunkers and water in play on three holes. With very little trouble off-the-tee and when approaching the green at Yokohama CC, the players should have no issues scoring at this track and it’s safe to expect some very low numbers this week. As always when expecting low scoring at an event, we need to be prioritizing players who are in compelling form with both their irons and putter this week. Also, with Yokohama CC being an untraditional par 71 that is home to 13 par fours, three par threes and two par fives, we need to be targeting efficient par four players.

Top DraftKings PGA TOUR DFS Bargain Plays for the Baycurrent Classic
Eric Cole ($7,200) – Cole loves competing during the fall swing. The 37-year-old has finished runner-up and T-6 at the last two Baycurrent Classics and he just finished T-9 at the Sanderson Farms Championship last week. At the CC of Jackson, Cole lit the course on fire with an opening round 7-under 65 and he finished the event top-10 in both SG APP and SGP. This marked Cole’s fourth made cut in his last five starts and he ranks sixth in strokes gained per round when we compare this field’s results at fall events.
In fact, four of Cole’s five best finishes on the PGA TOUR have been at events that are held from September to November. The veteran carding his second straight top-10 finish is a possibility this week and Cole is an awesome bargain at only $7,200.
Mac Meissner ($7,100) – Meissner is on a roll right now. The 26-year-old has finished T-14, runner-up, T-47 and T-14 in his last four starts, with that latter finish coming at last week’s Sanderson Farms Championship. During this four-start stretch, Meissner has gained strokes in every major category at three of four events and he has shot under par in nine of his 12 rounds, most notably with a career-low 7-under 63 at the Wyndham Championship in August.
Meissner impressively ranks second in total strokes gained when we compare this field’s last 16 rounds and he is a must-play at this low $7,100 salary.
Kevin Roy ($6,800) – Roy is coming off a strong performance at the Sanderson Farms Championship last week. The 35-year-old gained strokes across the board at the CC of Jackson and he shot 5-under 67 in the third round. Roy has now made 11 of his last 14 cuts and nine of these finishes have been results of T-35 or better.
Included in this run is a T-8 at the Rocket Classic and a T-3 at the John Deere Classic, both of which were played at easy courses that always produce low numbers. Roy faces another susceptible track this week in Yokohama CC and he should thrive at this birdie fest with potentially a top-20 finish.
