What happened to Carson Wentz? Live injury updates for Vikings vs. Browns NFL Week 5 on 10/5/25

UPDATE: Vikings QB Carson Wentz (shoulder) has returned to Sunday’s game vs. the Browns. He is wearing a sleeve/harness on his injured left shoulder.

Wentz has exited Sunday’s game between the Vikings and the Browns with a shoulder injury and the quarterback is questionable to return. Wentz appeared to hurt his shoulder when getting tackled on a scramble late in the second quarter.

Before exiting, Wentz had completed seven of his 12 attempts for 73 yards and no touchdowns or picks, and he had rushed two times for 12 yards. With J.J. McCarthy (ankle) sidelined, rookie Max Brosmer is the next man up at quarterback for Minnesota if Wentz is unable to return.
