UPDATE: It appears to be a hamstring injury for Jackson Chourio, per Brewers manager Pat Murphy.
After a very strong start to Game 1 of the 2025 NLDS against the Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio exited the contest with a trainer due to an apparent injury on the basepaths.
The young star became the first player in MLB history to go 3-for-3 in the first two innings of an MLB Postseason game and logged three RBIs as well before pulling up with a slight limp after running out a single. His exit may be precautionary, and it’s worth noting he missed time with a hamstring issue earlier this year during the late summer months.
At the time Chourio left Saturday’s game against the Cubs, the Brewers held a 9-1 lead in the bottom of the second inning.
Chourio’s exit probably won’t hurt the team too much today given the score early on, but any injury would pose a significant loss for this Milwaukee lineup. The 21-year-old slashed .270/.308/.463 this season with 148 hits, 88 runs, 78 RBIs and 21 home runs in 131 games. He also stole 21 bases and is a key cog in this high-powered offense.
