The WNBA Finals begin Friday with the Aces hosting the Mercury for Game 1 of this best of seven. Below, I have featured two of my favorite WNBA player prop bets for this contest on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Top WNBA Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Satou Sabally 24+ Points and Rebounds (-120)
Sabally has been one of the main reasons for the Mercury’s success this postseason. The three-time All-Star is averaging 17.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game during these playoffs, both of which are solid increases from her averages in the regular season.
Sabally has posted at least 24 PR in four of her seven starts this postseason and the uptick in her production has been a product of her seeing a much larger role. So far during these playoffs, Sabally is averaging 33.9 minutes per game, which is a huge jump from the 26.6 she averaged in the regular season.
With the Aces only favored by three points for Game 1, the heavy volume is guaranteed to continue for Sabally in this series opener and the Mercury will need her to continue to thrive as a scorer if the team wants to keep up with this elite Las Vegas’ offense that ranks first in rating this postseason. Sabally went off for 31 PR in two of her four matchups with the Aces in the regular season and she is an awesome bet for 24+ PR on Friday.
Jewell Loyd U 8.5 Points (-120)
With the Aces heavily relying on their stars in A’ja Wilson and Jackie Young, Loyd’s role has diminished this postseason. After averaging 11.2 PPG with an 18.7% usage rate in the regular season, Loyd is averaging just 7.3 PPG with a low 12.6% usage rate during the playoffs.
The 31-year-old hasn’t attempted double-digit field goals in any of her eight starts this postseason and she has fell short of 8.5 points in five of these eight games, including a scoreless showing vs. the Fever in the semi-finals.
Loyd has primarily been a three-point shooter this postseason, with 71% of her shots coming from beyond the arc and the Mercury have been a brutal matchup for outside shooters this postseason, limiting their opponents to the lowest three-point percentage in the league (27.6%). Loyd could be very quiet in this ugly spot and backing her for under 8.5 points is a must.
