James Cook O 77.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

After inking a four-year, $48 million contract extension with the Bills this offseason, James Cook has lived up to his big pay day, ranking second in rushing yards through the first three weeks of the season (284). Cook has posted 44, 132 and 108 rushing yards in his three starts, in that order, and his role has been immense.

Cook is averaging 17.7 carries per game – which is 75.7% of the Bills’ running back carries – while logging 55.9% of the snaps. Among the backs that have seen at least 20 carries this season, Cook ranks eighth in YPC (5.4), second in YAC (232) and second in rushes of 10+ yards (7).

This Sunday, Cook is facing a Saints defense that is giving up the fourth-fewest yards per rush this season (3.6). However, Buffalo is a massive 14.5-point home favorite for this matchup and the positive game script is going to result in the Bills relying on Cook heavily. In the 10 games over the last two seasons that Buffalo has won by double digits, Cook is averaging 86 rushing yards per game and he has surpassed 77.5 rushing yards in seven of these 10 contests. Cook’s third straight 100+ rushing yard performance is very possible Sunday and he is a must-bet for over 77.5 rushing yards.
