At 3-0, the Chargers have taken a commanding lead over the AFC West and look like a dangerous contender under the leadership of Jim Harbaugh. Meanwhile, the Giants are 0-3 and taking an essential step in their rebuild. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart will make his first career start on Sunday, marking a new era in the Meadowlands.

Chargers at Giants Best Prop Bets
Jaxson Dart 32+ Passing Attempts (+102)
It’s hard to believe that the Giants will spend much time with a positive game script or even a neutral one. A rookie quarterback playing in an offense littered with injuries against a strong defense does not bode well. New York’s defense has struggled in the early going, and will be hard-pressed to keep the Chargers out of the end zone. That puts a lot on Dart’s plate in his debut.
Rookie running back Cam Skattebo will remain involved, but Dart will throw early and often to keep the Big Blue in the game. Whether or not it produces efficient results is anyone’s guess.
Omarion Hampton Any Time Touchdown (-125)
Things looked scary for Omarion Hampton’s prospects after a couple of games. But with Najee Harris out of the picture after his Achilles tear, it’s his backfield — for better or worse. The numbers from last week don’t jump off the page, but Hampton regularly made something out of nothing against a strong Broncos front seven.
The Giants have coughed up five rushing scores through the first three weeks, and I expect the Chargers to find the red zone often. Hampton is bound to be involved in at least one of their scores.
Ladd McConkey Under 5.5 Receptions (-139)
Ladd McConkey taking several steps back in the passing game pecking order was not on anyone’s bingo card. Through three games, McConkey’s 21 targets put him behind breakout star Quentin Johnston (23) and new-old face Keenan Allen (28). He’s still efficient with his looks, but has not put up the big numbers we saw in his rookie year.
New York doesn’t have much of a pass defense, but it’s the game script that will do McConkey in. With Allen taking in a fair amount of the chain-moving looks, it won’t be a loud day for McConkey.
