The second matchup of this week’s MNF doubleheader features a battle between the Broncos and Bengals. Denver is looking to get back to .500, while the Bengals are attempting to tread water with Jake Browning under center. J.K. Dobbins (-150)
Few running backs are in better shape to find the end zone than Dobbins this week. After winning a camp battle to emerge as the lead RB in Denver, the 26-year-old has done nothing but solidify his stance through three weeks. Dobbins has scored in every matchup, seeing solid volume and converting it into an impressive 5.4 yards per carry average.
On Monday night, he’ll take on a Cincinnati run defense that can, at best, be described as porous. The Bengals are allowing 119 rushing yards per game and were just pummelled by Jordan Mason for 116 yards and two scores. Dobbins should pick up right where Mason left off and have little trouble finding the end zone as long as he’s given the opportunity.
Ja’Marr Chase (+175)
Look, I get it. Jake Browning looked about as bad as a backup quarterback can last week. However, the silver lining is that Chase still took that performance and found a way to get five catches for 50 yards out of it.
In Cincinnati’s prior outing — much of it with Browning under center — the star receiver snagged 14 of 16 targets for a whopping 165 yards and a touchdown. He’s more than capable of producing, no matter who’s under center, and he’s shown a solid rapport with Browning already dating back to 2023.
Denver hasn’t boasted the dominant secondary we’ve seen in recent years, currently allowing the 14th-most receiving yards per contest. Even with a matchup against reigning DPOY Pat Surtain II looming, I like Chase’s chances of finding the end zone.
