Home runs. Long balls. Bleacher reachers. Whatever you want to call them, people love watching and betting on home run props during baseball games. So much so, we’ve got a whole article dedicated to just that.
It’s an extremely small Monday slate, with just three games on the schedule. There’s limited players to choose from, but here are my top three home run prop picks on DraftKings Sportsbook: Marcell Ozuna, Christian Yelich and Rafael Devers.
Top Home Run Props on DraftKings Sportsbook
Marcell Ozuna 1+ Home Run (+594)
There have been a lot of issues with the 2025 Atlanta Braves, but one of the biggest has been Marcell Ozuna’s regression. Still, the 34-year-old remains somewhat dangerous in the batter’s box, having collected 20 home runs and an 83rd percentile expected wOBA (.363) across his 570 plate appearances this season. Ozuna has also always liked squaring-off with MacKenzie Gore, as evidenced by a 1.121 OPS in 17 career at-bats against the divisional foe. It certainly helps Ozuna’s case that Gore’s been struggling since the All-Star break. In the 10 starts that the LHP has made since July 20, Gore owns a 6.27 ERA and he’s surrendered 1.52 opponent home runs per nine. Among pitchers with at least 40 innings thrown in that same span, Gore’s 13.3% opponent barrel rate is the fifth-highest mark in baseball. Needless to say, the former third-overall pick has been underwhelming for a couple of months now.
Christian Yelich 1+ Home Run (+610)
These feel like long odds for a man who has more home runs in 2025 than any other person taking the field in this game. Yes, Christian Yelich doesn’t profile like a slugger. In fact, his 2.38 GB/FB ratio is the highest qualified mark in the league — as has often been the case throughout Yelich’s time in MLB. Still, thanks to another league-high in HR/FB ratio (31.2%), Yelich is right on the cusp of his first 30 home run campaign since all the way back in 2019. As you would expect, the left-handed veteran has been at his best against RHPs this season, sporting a .238 ISO and a 140 wRC+ within the split. Yelich is also the lone player on the Brewers’ roster who has previous hit a long ball of Padres’ starter Nick Pivetta, with the outfielder in possession of a 1.296 OPS in 16 career at-bats versus the right-hander. Home runs have long been a red flag with Pivetta. The 32-year-old has conceded a healthy 1.47 per nine across his nine seasons in the big leagues. Heck, Pivetta gave up three homers in his last outing on Wednesday at Citi Field.
Rafael Devers 1+ Home Run (+417)
While it’s certainly been a weird campaign for Rafael Devers, it hasn’t really impacted his ability to hit the baseball with authority. Coming into Monday’s action, Devers is in possession of a 98th percentile average exit velocity (93.6), a 97th percentile hard hit rate (55.8%) and a 94th percentile barrel rate (15.4%). Overall, the veteran infielder has managed to slug 32 home runs and produce a 132 wRC+. Putting all the drama to the side, it’s clear that Devers remains one of the most dangerous left-handed bats in MLB. That’s bad news for Michael McGreevy. The rookie RHP has struggled with LHBs all year long, allowing those within the split to hit .308 with a .363 wOBA. McGreevy faced this same Giants squad two weeks ago in St. Louis. Devers hit a long ball in the first inning. Imagine that.
