What happened to CeeDee Lamb? Live injury updates for NFL Week 3 on 9/21/25

UPDATE: Lamb will not return.

Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter of the matchup with the Bears. Lamb took a handoff in the backfield for the Cowboys and was tackled awkwardly, which resulted in Lamb’s ankle being rolled up upon.

Lamb stayed down in pain following the tackle and eventually limped his way to the sideline. He is being evaluated for an ankle injury, and his status is to be determined.

Coming into this game, Lamb had tallied 16 receptions for 222 yards so far this season. He ranked third in the entire NFL in receiving yards and is the clear-cut top option on the Cowboys.

It is to be determined how much this ankle issue will disrupt Lamb’s performance in this game and across this season. More updates will be added as they are provided by the team. He is offically being listed as questionable to return.
