What happened to Jose Soriano? Live Injury updates for Angels vs. Brewers 9/17/25

In the second inning of Wednesday’s game vs. the Brewers, SP Jose Soriano was hit by a 107 mph line drive from Milwaukee’s Jake Bauers. Soriano exited with the training staff and was replaced by Connor Brogdon.

In the 1.1 innings he did pitch, Soriano allowed two hits, two runs and walked two while striking out none. It wasn’t a great start for Soriano and the injury has now made a bad day worse. He has a 10-10 record this season while posting a 4.13 ERA. With only 10 games left for Los Angeles this season, it’s up in the air whether we will see him pitch again in 2025. With nothing to play for, Angels fans will be more concerned about getting him healthy for what is hopefully a better 2026 season.
