Best NFL Prop Bets for Chiefs vs. Eagles on Sunday 9/14/25

We get a treat this week as the Super Bowl LIX rematch will take place in Kansas City between the Chiefs and Eagles. For Kansas City, it’s more than just a revenge game after getting thoroughly outplayed in last February’s Super Bowl — it’s a crucial bounce-back opportunity after last week’s season-opening loss to the Chargers in Brazil.

Now sitting at 0-1, the Chiefs are in unfamiliar territory and can’t afford to stumble again, even with the lowly Giants on deck next week. Meanwhile, the Eagles are slight 1.5-point road favorites, and the total is set at 46.5.

With that in mind, here are my three favorite player props for this marquee matchup:

A.J. Brown Over 74.5 Receiving Yards (-112)

A.J. Brown had a game to forget last week, finishing with just one catch for eight yards — a grab that didn’t come until late in the fourth quarter. The Cowboys’ secondary effectively neutralized Philadelphia’s passing attack, but Brown remains one of the elite receivers in the league and is rarely held in check two weeks in a row.

This matchup should be much more favorable. The Chiefs secondary was shredded last week by Keenan Allen, Quentin Johnston, and Ladd McConkey. Justin Herbert threw for 318 yards, exposing multiple coverage lapses. Jalen Hurts may not be quite as prolific a passer, but expect the Eagles to prioritize getting Brown involved early and often in what could be a shootout.

Jalen Hurts Over 41.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

While Herbert lit up the Chiefs through the air, he also ran for 32 yards — including a game-sealing 19-yard scramble late in the fourth quarter. Now imagine what Hurts, a far more dynamic runner, can do against this same defense. Hurts looked healthy and decisive last week, racking up 62 yards on 14 carries against the Cowboys.

With a tight point spread and a game that should remain close throughout, Hurts will have ample opportunities to run — whether by design or necessity. If he hits double-digit carries again, he should eclipse this total with room to spare.

Hollywood Brown Over 5.5 Receptions (-147)

This one feels like a layup — hence the juice — but it’s justified. Wide receiver Xavier Worthy has already been ruled out for this game with his shoulder injury, and we saw what that meant last week: 16 targets for Hollywood Brown on just 39 Mahomes dropbacks. He turned that into 10 catches for 99 yards.

Now, it’s worth noting that 49 of those yards came on a single busted coverage late in the game, but the key stat here is volume. Brown had nine receptions for just 50 yards before that play — showing Mahomes clearly trusts him as the top option right now.

We’re not betting on his yardage this time, just on him catching at least six passes. With Travis Kelce looking a step slower and Tyquan Thornton still adjusting to the offense, Brown should be the go-to guy again. Just as CeeDee Lamb found success as Dallas’ top receiving option against this Eagles defense last week, Brown — now operating as the Chiefs’ WR1 — is in a strong position to do the same.
