The 2025 NFL season is onto the Sunday slate of Week 2. This is a look at my favorite player prop bets for NFL Week 2. You can place all of these bets on the DraftKings Sportsbook.
NFL Week 2 Player Props
Cowboys vs. Giants: CeeDee Lamb Longest Reception o25.5 Yards (-110)
CeeDee Lamb is consistently one of the best receivers in the NFL. Over the last two seasons, he has led the NFL in receiving yards. Lamb looked happy to have Dak Prescott back in Week 1. While the receiver was able to produce with Cooper Rush last season, the explosiveness with Prescott at quarterback is on another level. They should be able to hit some deep shots against a Giants secondary that ranks 23rd in defensive EPA/play after Week 1. The Giants are dealing with multiple injuries on their defense, and it should be a big day for Lamb. CeeDee Lamb had a 32-yard catch against the Eagles last week, and this will be a much easier matchup for Lamb. When these teams faced off last season before Prescott’s injury, Lamb had 98 receiving yards and a touchdown, including a 55-yard longest reception. It should be a similar performance in this game for Lamb, getting him over this prop number.
Bengals vs. Jaguars: Ja’Marr Chase Anytime TD(-135)
It was a quiet Week 1 for Ja’Marr Chase after his historic 2024-25 season. Chase won the receiving triple crown last season, setting the NFL on fire every week. However, his opening performance against the Browns was not very productive. Chase had just five catches for 26 yards against Cleveland. The Browns have a lot of familiarity with the Bengals offense, and divisional road games are always tough, so it’s not too much of a surprise that Chase was contained. In Week 2, Chase should look more like his 2024 self against the Jaguars. The Jaguars’ defense had the good fortune of facing Bryce Young and the Panthers in Week 1, but this will be a much tougher test. Jacksonville ranked dead last in defensive EPA/dropback last season, and while it made efforts to improve in the offseason, it might struggle on the road against Cincinnati. Chase had 17 touchdowns in 17 games last season and should get his season going in this game, finding the end zone against Jacksonville.
Cardinals vs. Panthers: Marvin Harrison Jr. o57.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
Marvin Harrison Jr. could be in for a huge second season in the NFL. Harrison had 62 catches for 885 yards and eight touchdowns in his rookie season. That would typically be considered a great rookie season. However, due to the massive expectations on Harrison and the fact that other rookie pass catchers had such tremendous seasons, Harrison’s rookie campaign was considered a disappointment. It was a great start to his sophomore season, with five catches for 71 yards and a touchdown. The Cardinals get to host the Panthers in Week 2. Carolina really struggled in Week 1, ranking 22nd in defensive success rate. Last season, it ranked dead last in defensive EPA/play and 31st in EPA/dropback. Harrison should be able to get open, and Kyler Murray will feed him after his big Week 1 performance. Harrison should get over this number for the second straight week.
