Week 2 of the NFL slate is full of good matchups, including this divisional clash between the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen led the Bills to a dramatic comeback over the Ravens in Week 1, setting a positive note for their season. Meanwhile, the Jets lost their season opener against the Steelers, but the team showed there could be some improvement from last season with Aaron Glenn at the helm. This game is loaded with great skill position players like Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson, James Cook and Keon Coleman. This is a look at the best player props to consider for this AFC East matchup.
The Bills head into this Week 2 matchup against the Jets as 6.5-point road favorites, and the total is set at 47.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Jets vs. Bills Best Prop Bets
Breece Hall o59.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Breece Hall had a great Week 1 performance against the Steelers. It was a much-needed big game for Hall after a disappointing 2024-25 season. After suffering an injury in his rookie season, Hall broke onto the scene in his sophomore season with the Jets. In PPR fantasy scoring, Hall finished second behind Christian McCaffrey among all running backs that season. However, the 2024-25 campaign saw Hall drop to 16th in those rankings. A combination of the Jets becoming one of the pass-heaviest offenses in football with Aaron Rodgers, the emergence of rookie running back Braelon Allen and poor offensive coaching could be attributed to Hall’s drop-off. While his draftmates, Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson, both got big extensions during the offseason, Hall was left in no-man’s land. This is now a contract year for Hall, and he is hoping to prove his worth to the Jets and the rest of the NFL.
Against the Steelers, Hall had 19 carries for 107 yards. Last season, the Jets ranked 29th in the NFL in rushing play percentage. Aaron Rodgers wanted the ball in his own hands as much as possible, so adding in the fact that Braelon Allen was getting a share of the carries as well, Hall just didn’t get much opportunity. This offense with Justin Fields at quarterback should be much more beneficial for Hall. Fields is a great athlete who loves to run the football. The threat of Fields’ legs will create more holes for Hall when he gets the football. After Week 1, the Jets have the highest rushing play percentage in football, running on 62.9% of their plays against the Steelers. Derrick Henry just gashed the Bills for 169 yards last week, and while Hall might not reach that number, he should clear 59.5 rushing yards.
Josh Allen Anytime TD Scorer (-135)
Josh Allen was the highest-scoring player in standard-scoring fantasy football in Week 1. Allen did it all for the Bills in their dramatic comeback win over the Ravens on Sunday Night Football. He threw for 394 yards, his highest single-game passing yards total since Week 3 of the 2022-23 season. He threw for two touchdowns and also ran for two touchdowns. Josh Allen is a great runner, and he has a real talent for finding the end zone with his legs when the Bills get into the red zone. Since entering the league in 2018, Derrick Henry is the only player in the NFL with more rushing touchdowns than Josh Allen. Since the start of the 2023 season, Allen has 34 rushing touchdowns in 40 games, including the postseason, second only to Jalen Hurts.
Allen should find the end zone with his legs in this game against the Jets. New York ranked 26th in the NFL in defensive EPA/play last week, and Allen should be able to move the ball against it. Once the Bills get close to the goal line, nothing is safer than letting Allen run it in himself. Allen scored a rushing touchdown in each of the Bills’ two games against the Jets. He should find the end zone for the third straight meeting against Gang Green and cash this touchdown scorer prop.
