The Saints enter the 2025 season as a strong contender for the No. 1 overall pick and are widely regarded as one of the worst teams in the NFL. Quarterback will likely be at the top of their offseason wish list. The Cardinals, on the other hand, look poised to take a step forward. With a bolstered defense and second-year wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. ready to break out, this Arizona squad could surprise some people.
This game will be played in the dome in New Orleans, and there’s potential for some fireworks. With that in mind, here are my three favorite player prop bets for this matchup:
Trey McBride Over 64.5 Receiving Yards (-111)
McBride quietly had one of the most productive tight end seasons in recent memory last year. Despite scoring just two touchdowns, he totaled 111 receptions for 1,146 yards, clearing this 64.5-yard number in 10-of-16 games, including seven of his final eight.
With Marvin Harrison Jr. commanding attention downfield, McBride thrives in the intermediate part of the field, using his 6’4”, 247-pound frame to dominate linebackers and safeties. He’s Kyler Murray’s clear safety valve, and in a soft matchup like this one, he should hit the ground running to open the season..
Spencer Rattler Over 197.5 Passing Yards (-115)
Rattler didn’t exactly light it up in his rookie season, but this is a spot where he could quietly rack up some numbers. He went over this number in three of his seven starts last year — including his final two — and now has a healthy trio of Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave, and Rashid Shaheed at his disposal.
If this game gets out of hand, Rattler may find himself in catch-up mode. The Cardinals’ defense is improved, but they may ease off late with a lead, giving Rattler the chance to rack up yardage in garbage time.
James Conner Over 100+ Rush + Rec Yards (+108)
This is a prime spot for Arizona to lean on its workhorse. Conner topped 100 total yards in eight of the 15 games he finished last year — and went over 100 rushing yards alone six times. When healthy, he’s a volume monster.
The Saints were one of the worst run defenses in the league last season, allowing the third-most rushing yards per game and ranking 27th in fantasy points allowed to running backs. With Arizona favored by 6.5 points, Conner is in line for a heavy workload — and he has the efficiency to cash in on it.
