The WNBA season is coming in for a landing with about five games remaining in the regular season for each team. Three matchups are taking place across today’s Monday slate as the season winds down. Tipping off at 8:00 p.m. ET, the Minnesota Lynx will host the Dallas Wings.
These teams hold very different outlooks for the final stretch of the season. Naphessa Collier and the Lynx have clinched their playoff outlook and sit in first place in the WNBA standings with a 31-8 record. It has not been as great a season for Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings. They are 9-31 on the season and have dropped to last place in the standings while being officially eliminated from playoff contention.
But the show must go on, and the pair of teams will face off tonight. Minnesota enters as monstrous 17.5-point favorites and holds -1650 odds on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Wings hold +950 odds of getting the outright victory with the game total set at 169.5.

Napheesa Collier Over 23.5 Points (-120)
The Minnesota Lynx star is tied for the most points per game in the WNBA at 23.4 per contest. Collier has tallied over 23.5 points in 15 of the 29 games this season, including four of her past seven and all three previous matchups with the Wings this season. The biggest concern with last year’s MVP runner-up falling short of this total would be if the game reaches blowout territory and her minutes are limited. But this has not proven to be the case in these matchups this season. The Lynx have picked up victories in all three matchups, but Collier had to suit up for 31+ minutes in each. One victory came by just four points, and 16 was the largest margin of victory.
The Wings are just 1-12 in their last 13 games, but you can squint your eyes and see some progress. Seven of these 12 losses were by 10 points or fewer, and they have looked competitive on the floor. As long as this matchup hangs in the balance, it will be Collier’s responsibility to drive the production of Minnesota. She is arguably the most dynamic scorer in the league and is not slowing down in the final stages of the season. Across the three previous matchups with Dallas, Collier finished with 28, 28, and 34 points.
While the Lynx have their playoff outlook on lock, Collier is still putting the final touches on her MVP campaign. Dallas gives up 88.1 points per game, which ranks last in the WNBA, and ranks 12th in opponents’ field goal percentage and 12th in defensive rating. Collier will be the most talented player on the floor, and there is no pathway to the Wings providing adequate resistance to slow her down. As long as the five-time All-Star sees a full workload, she should cruise past this number and look for things to play out this way. Count on Collier to record over 23.5 points for the fourth time against the Wings this season and the 16th time overall.
Napheesa Collier Over 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (+130)
One area where the Wings are especially vulnerable defensively is on the perimeter. Opponents are shooting 38.6% from beyond the three-point arc against Dallas, which is the worst rate in the WNBA. Over their last five games, opponents have shot 41% from deep against Dallas.
This is not quite Napheesa Collier’s calling card as an offensive talent, but she is plenty capable as a three-point shooter. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year is attempting a career-high 3.6 three-point attempts per game and connecting at a 36.2% rate. Collier is averaging 1.3 made three-pointers per game and has connected on over 1.5 perimeter makes in 12 games this year. This includes two of the three games against the Wings thus far, where she has shot a collective 5-for-12 (41.7%) in these matchups.
Collier has attempted at least three three-pointers in five of her last six games and recorded over 1.5 makes in four of these. With just four games remaining on the Lynx schedule after tonight, this is a great chance to add another massive box score output against one of the league’s worst defenses and cement her MVP standing. Count on Collier being content capitalizing on this defensive weakness and record over 1.5 made three-pointers for the fourth time this season against the Wings.
