The first-round of the 2024 NBA playoffs continues on and Monday will bring us our first batch of Game 2’s. With three games on the docket, there’s plenty of opportunities to find good value plays for your lineups in DFS.
In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays $5K or under that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. We are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.
Jalen Suggs, Magic, $5,000
Suggs is right on the value line for tonight as the Magic try to bounce back and tie their series with the Cavaliers. The young guard produced 30 fantasy points in his very first playoff game on Saturday, putting up 13 points, four rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block. The kicker is that he was able to do this despite shooting just 25% from the field, a microcosm of Orlando’s poor shooting as a team in the series opener. With better shooting splits, Suggs should increase his value for this contest and I’d take another swing at him in your lineup.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Nuggets, $4,600
KCP came through with a solid performance in the Nuggets’ Game 1 win over the Lakers, delivering 12 points, three steals, and a pair of boards in the double-digit win. It yielded 24 fantasy points for DFS users, which is right above his regular season average. I expect Denver to come out even stronger in Game 2 and by extension, KCP should have another solid night if he gets close to 40 minutes again. Consider him as an option for your lineups.
Kyle Lowry, 76ers, $4,400
Lowry logged 39 minutes and made an impact for the 76ers in Saturday’s Game 1 loss to the Knicks. The veteran netted 31.5 fantasy points in DFS on the strength of an 18-point, four-rebound performance that was powered by four threes. He was already a nice value option for this game and that’s especially the case now with fellow guard Tyrese Maxey listed as questionable with an illness. Definitely lock up the veteran this evening.
