WNBA Best Bets Today: Top Prop Bets for Thursday 8/28/25

The WNBA season continues Thursday with a three-game slate. Below, I have featured three of my favorite WNBA player prop bets for these contests on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Top WNBA Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Sabrina Ionescu U 16.5 Points (-110)

Ionescu has been really quiet by her standards as of late. In her last 10 starts, the guard is averaging only 13.8 PPG while shooting 33.8% from the field. Ionescu has stayed under 16.5 points in eight of these 10 games, including an underwhelming 11-point effort against the Sun on Monday. This performance is notable, as Breanna Stewart (knee) returned to the Liberty’s lineup after missing 13 games in a row, making this the first game New York has played this season with Ionescu, Stewart and Emma Meeseman all active.

These three are all high usage players and with many mouths to feed, Ionescu only handled an 18.1% usage rate in this contest, which is an extreme drop from her 27.9% average for the season. Ionescu only attempted a season-low seven field goals and while she is facing a struggling Mystics team tonight – the club is 5-11 and ranks eighth in defensive rating since the All-Star break – 16.5 points is just too high of a line for her right now with the Liberty at full strength.

Kayla McBride U 13.5 Points (-110)

While McBride’s recent game log shows some strong scoring performances, MVP frontrunner Napheesa Collier (ankle) has missed seven of the past eight games, naturally inflating McBride’s numbers. Collier returned for the Lynx’s last game this past Sunday vs. the Fever and while the star torched Indiana for 32 points with a 35.7% usage rate, McBride posted just 13 points with a very low 9.8% usage rate.

McBride and Collier have played 24 games together this season and in those contests, McBride is averaging 13.9 PPG, which is significantly different from the 16.6 PPG she is averaging in the 10 games she has played with Collier inactive. McBride is facing a stout Storm defense tonight that ranks fourth in defensive rating this season and she is a great bet to fall short of 13.5 points in this spot.

Kahleah Copper 2+ Made Three Pointers (-145)

Copper is having a strong season as an outside shooter, averaging 1.9 made three pointers on 4.8 attempts per game (39%) and the veteran is in a beautiful spot Thursday vs. the Sky. This season, Chicago ranks dead last in defensive rating and the team is allowing the second-most made three pointers (9.6) on the second-highest three-point percentage in the league (37.1%).

This will be the third time Copper has faced the Sky this season and she hit two and four three-pointers in those first two matchups. Copper is an excellent 6-for-12 from beyond the arc vs. Chicago and she has hit multiple three pointers in 13 of her 21 starts this season.
