The Wings are hosting the Sun on Wednesday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Dallas is favored by one point and this game carries a total of 165 points.

Paige Bueckers U 18.5 Points (-110)

Bueckers (illness) is questionable, but the guard participated in shootaround this morning, an encouraging sign that she will suit up tonight. Bueckers had some huge performances recently — including a 44-point outing vs. the Sparks — but overall, the UConn product’s form isn’t overly compelling and it wouldn’t be shocking if she wasn’t up to par while dealing with this illness.

Bueckers has fallen short of 18.5 points in four of her past seven starts and has scored just 11 and nine points in her two most recent contests. Then there’s Bueckers’ matchup vs. the Sun. The 23-year-old scored 21 points in both of her first two matchups vs. Connecticut earlier this season in June, but things are drastically different for the Sun nowadays.

The team ranked dead last in defensive rating before the All-Star break, but Connecticut has totally flipped the script, ranking second in defensive rating since the layoff. The Sun just faced the Liberty on Monday and Connecticut held another All-Star guard in Sabrina Ionescu to just 11 points. Bueckers could be in for a rude awakening facing this newly improved Sun defense, so backing her to stay under under this high 18.5-point line is the right move.
