Cade Klubnik 35+ rushing yards (-120)
All eyes will be on Klubnik, arguably the best quarterback in all of college football. Last year, the junior threw for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns to just six interceptions. Unsurprisingly, he set career-best marks in yards per completion (11.8) and quarterback rating (148.2). Considering four of five offensive line starters are returning, Clemson’s passing attack should be lethal; that spells trouble for LSU.
With that being said, Klubnik is more than just a gunslinger. In nine of 14 games last season, the 21-year-old gained at least 30 rushing yards. LSU’s secondary is loaded, but the defense looked vulnerable on the ground in 2024. The Tigers surrendered at least 4.0 yards per rush to five of their last six opponents. Clemson has uncertainty at running back, with Adam Randall entering as the expected starter over David Eziomume. Instead of risking it with either, Klubnik offers more value at nearly even money.
Aaron Anderson 64+ receiving yards (-114)
Clemson isn’t the only school with a star under center. Garrett Nussmeier was terrific last season, throwing for 4,052 yards and 29 touchdowns. That’s partially a result of his SEC-leading 525 pass attempts. The goal for LSU this season will be to have a more balanced, run-oriented offense. Still, that’s easier said than done, especially against Clemson. NFL-bound starters TJ Parker and Peter Woods form one of the nation’s most formidable defensive line duos.
Ultimately, Nussmeier and LSU might be forced into throwing the ball a ton. The biggest beneficiary of that game plan would be Aaron Anderson. The standout receiver broke out in 2024, hauling in 61 catches for 884 yards and five touchdowns. In eight of his 13 games, the junior recorded at least 65 receiving yards. Three of those performances came during the season’s final four weeks, including a 100-yard showing vs Baylor in the Texas Bowl. It wouldn’t be a shock to see Anderson peppered with targets on Saturday night.
