Former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold is making his boxing debut against Darren Till in the Main Event of Misfits Boxing 22 on Saturday, August 30. This event is taking place at the AO Arena in Manchester, England.
Till is 3-0 with two knockout victories in his young boxing career, while Rockhold is entering the boxing ring for the first time. Both fighters possess a wealth of high-level experience, but Till likely holds the edge in this matchup, as he is recognized as the more advanced striker. Since leaving the UFC in 2022, Rockhold has competed in BKFC, Karate Combat, and at the Craig Jones Invitational 1.
The co-main event features an Interim Middleweight Championship fight between former UFC Interim Champion, Tony Ferguson, who is taking on Salt Papi. Ferguson had a decorated career in the UFC spanning 13 years. But now he finds himself on an eight-fight losing streak, with his last victory coming in June 2019. Salt Papi has been in Misfits since 2022 and has a 5-2 record with five knockouts.
Dillon Danis, the always controversial and entertaining combat sports athlete, is making his long-awaited return to MMA against Warren Spencer. This is Danis’ first MMA fight since he submitted Max Humphrey at Bellator 222 in June 2019. Since then, Danis competed in a boxing match against Logan Paul in October 2023. His opponent, Spencer, is 2-2 in his boxing career and has won two straight. This is Spencer’s first MMA fight.
