The US Open continues on Thursday as more second-round matchups get underway. There are some great matches on Thursday, headlined by Jannik Sinner, Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff.

These are the best bets to consider for the biggest matches of the day:
Jannik Sinner vs. Alexei Popyrin: Sinner to win 3:1 (+250)
Jannik Sinner is seeking back-to-back US Open titles and his third Grand Slam title of the year. The World No. 1 put on one of the most dominant displays you will ever see at a Grand Slam in his first-round match against Vit Kopriva, winning 6-1, 6-1, 6-2. There is no scarier player in the world to face than him after everything he has accomplished this season. However, this matchup against Alexei Popyrin should be much tougher for Sinner than the opening matchup against Kopriva. Popyrin is the 36th-ranked player in the world, and was ranked as high as No. 19 earlier this year. Standing at 6’5″, Popyrin presents a unique challenge and could test Sinner. These two have only faced off once in their careers, back in 2021, but Popyrin won that match in Madrid. Sinner should still take care of business and move on with his incredible form, but I will take a +250 bet on Popyrin to steal one set in this match.
Coco Gauff vs. Donna Vekic: Gauff to win 2:1 (+310)
Coco Gauff survived a scare in the opening round against Ajla Tomljanovic. Tomljanovic pushed Gauff to a third set and was serving to go up 6-5 in that third set, before Gauff broke her and won the final two games to take the match. Gauff already has one Grand Slam title under her belt this year, and was a winner here at the US Open in 2023. She is loved by this New York crowd and has a great chance to win another title here, but that opening match should serve as a wake-up call. The American has another tough matchup in the second round, with World No. 49 Donna Vekic. Vekic has performed well at Grand Slams in the past, making the 2024 Wimbledon semifinals, 2024 US Open fourth round and 2019 US Open quarterfinals. These two have split two career matches against each other, with Vekic’s win coming in the Round of 16 at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where Vekic went on to win the silver medal. Gauff should outlast Vekic, but this will be another tough battle, so I will take the value on Gauff to win in three sets.
Iga Swiatek vs. Suzan Lamens: Lamens u4.5 Games Won (-115)
Iga Swiatek is getting back to the form she was in when she was the top-ranked player in the world. The 24-year-old showed she was back at the top of her game by winning the 2025 Wimbledon title and then winning the Cincinnati Masters in preparation for this event. Swiatek proved she is still in dominant form with her first-round domination over Emiliana Arango, winning 6-1, 6-2. Suzan Lamens is incredibly experienced, making the second round of a major for the first time in Australia earlier this year. Swiatek should make quick work of Lamens, just like she did to Arango in the first round, not allowing her to win more than four games.
