What happened to Shohei Ohtani? Live injury updates for Dodgers vs. Rockies 8/20/25

UPDATE: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he’s hopeful that Ohtani will be back for Friday’s game.

Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani exited the game at the start of the eighth inning in Wednesday’s matchup vs. the Rockies. Alex Call entered the game to pinch-hit.

Ohtani also pitched earlier in this game, giving up nine hits and five runs in four innings. In the bottom of the fourth inning, he could’ve suffered a potential leg injury as he was hit in the leg by Orlando Arcia on this play.

Whether or not that play is linked to his early exit is still unknown because he did stay in the game after that play. Stay tuned to DK Network for live updates on any potential injury to Ohtani. The Dodgers play again on Thursday and will hope to have their All-Star back in the fold sooner rather than later.
