Tuesday presents a two-game WNBA slate. The Fever will be hosting the Wings and the Sparks are hosting the Liberty. Below, I have featured three of my favorite bets for Tuesday’s WNBA action on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Los Angeles Sparks ML (+145)
The Sparks just defeated the Liberty 101-99 on July 26th and in that contest, New York’s Breanna Stewart went down with a knee injury just three minutes into the game. The two-time MVP has been sidelined since and if including the loss to Los Angeles, the Liberty are just 3-5 since Stewart got hurt.
New York’s offensive and defensive ratings massively decline with Stewart off the floor this season and her absence will be too much for the Liberty to overcome tonight vs. the Sparks, who are playing very well as of late.
Since the All-Star break, Los Angeles is 7-2 and the club ranks fourth in the WNBA in net rating. The Sparks will be at home tonight, where the team has won three in a row. Los Angeles not being favored for this matchup is surprising and backing the club for the upset at this +145 price is a sharp move Tuesday.
Aliyah Boston O 8.5 Rebounds (-120)
Boston has been very active on the glass recently. Since the All-Star break, the center is averaging 10.0 rebounds per game – which ranks fifth in the league during this time – and she has exceeded 8.5 rebounds in eight of her nine starts, including a performance of 11 rebounds vs. the Wings, who Boston will face again tonight.
Dallas is giving up the third-most rebounds since the All-Star break and Boston should surpass 8.5 rebounds with ease in this appealing matchup.
Sophie Cunningham 10+ Points (-135)
Since moving into the Fever’s starting lineup 10 games ago, Cunningham has been a solid scorer, averaging 12.4 PPG while shooting 55.4% from the field and 49.1% from beyond the arc. During this span, Cunningham ranks third for the Fever in playing time with 29.5 minutes per game and she has scored at least 10 points in seven of her 10 starts.
Facing a Wings team tonight that ranks fifth in pace and 10th in defensive rating this season, Cunningham should have no trouble reaching double figures as a scorer. In this plus spot, Indiana carries a large 89.5-point implied team total on DraftKings Sportsbook.
