DeAndre Hopkins finished last season by losing the Super Bowl with the Chiefs. In 2025, he is going to have a chance to get back to that game, this time with Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens have been right on the cusp of being great in recent seasons, but it hasn’t quite all come together in the postseason. Baltimore fans will hope that 2025 is different and that DeAndre Hopkins can help them get over the hump. Hopkins signed a one-year deal worth up to $6 million in March.
Hopkins is entering his 13th NFL season in 2025. The 33-year-old is getting up there in age, but there’s still some tread on the tires. In 2023, he recorded 1,000 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in Tennessee. Last season, he played with both the Titans and Chiefs, finishing with 610 yards and five scores. His 147 DKFP was 49th best among receivers on DraftKings. The season before it was a much different story, as Hopkins was WR22.
I’m not sure if he can get back to his 2023 level of production at his age, but he can still be an important piece of this Ravens offense. Zay Flowers should continue to get the bulk of the volume, but Hopkins will fill in alongside Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews as some of the secondary contributors in a balanced offense.
I think this will be a good fit for Hopkins fantasy-wise, and hopefully, he can continue to be a factor in fantasy football in 2025. He will likely have some solid matchups to exploit on Sunday’s with the majority of the defense’s game plans likely trying to shut down Lamar Jackson, Zay Flowers and Derrick Henry. Hopkins could be a sneaky good pick in 2025, and it wouldn’t shock me if the veteran WR finished second on the team in receiving yards behind Flowers.
