Atlanta Braves vs. Milwaukee Brewers prediction, pick for Monday 8/4/25

The alliteration series! Even without Jacob Misiorowski, the Brewers are starting to look like the best team in the major leagues. Their offense is blowing roofs off climate-controlled stadiums. And now they get the lowly Braves. Below, I’ve got my preview, prediction, and best bet for this Monday night baseball game between the Braves and the Brewers.

Here’s how I’ll play it. I’ll be pumping out these predictions for individual games all season, with plenty of coverage here on DraftKings Network. Follow my handle @dansby_edits for more betting plays.

Braves vs. Brewers prediction, preview

Milwaukee is rolling. Atlanta is reeling by comparison. The Brewers (67-44) have won six of their last seven games and just routed Washington 14-3 in their last outing. They’ll send out emerging right-hander Quinn Priester, who boasts a 10-2 record and 3.27 ERA this season. The Braves (47-63), by contrast, sit 16 games under .500 after an injury-plagued summer. Atlanta did win a series against Cincinnati over the weekend. However, Atlanta now turns to struggling starter Erick Fedde (3-11, 5.33 ERA) for this matchup.

The pitching matchup clearly favors Milwaukee. Priester has been a consistent winner, while Fedde has been knocked around frequently. The Brewers are also in much better form: they’ve won seven straight road games against National League opponents and have covered the -1.5 run line in each of their last 10 road games, indicating they’re not just winning but winning comfortably. Meanwhile, Atlanta has failed to cover in 14 of its last 15 night games vs. NL Central teams, underperforming against quality opposition.

Brewers vs. Braves pick, best bet

Milwaukee’s lineup has balance and pop. Veteran Christian Yelich (21 HR, 73 RBI) is having a wondrous renaissance year, and rookie Jackson Chourio (17 HR, 67 RBI) has added punch as well. In contrast, Atlanta’s lineup just lost slugger Austin Riley to another IL stint (he’s hitting .260 with 16 homers, 54 RBI), further depleting their offense. With the Braves essentially playing out the string at this point, the motivated Brewers should take care of business.

When’s the last time they haven’t, really? Even at -150, it feels a bit like a value.
